YAY!

FYP balloting results are out! NUS is actually quite efficient!

And I’m happy! :D So happy that I’m happily posting this at my desk at work hurhur! Got my first choice!!! :D Well, it wasn’t 100% my first choice but I decided to be safe and put something that wasn’t as popular as my first choice. It’s like my actual 2nd choice but balloting 1st choice. BUT WHO CARES I GOT IT! :D

Targeted Multimodal Therapy with Vitamin E TPGS-Prodrug Nanoparticles

Vitamin E TPGS is an amphiphilic molecular biomaterial. It can form prodrug with either hydrophobic drug or hydrophilic drug or both. Such prodrug can then be used to make micelles, liposomes, and nanoparticles. This project is to synthesize TPGS prodrug nanoparticles for targeted multimodal therapy, which can thus integrate multiple anti-cancer methods for cancer treatment. The emphasis will be given to manufacture, characterization, in vitro drug release, in vitro cell line and in vivo animal model.

Sounds exciting already! :D  Under Prof.Feng Si-Shen who looks like Smiling Buddha :D Hurhur. I’m really happy for a lot of my friends too, quite a few of them got their first choices!

LIFE’S GOOD! :D

Just submitted my FYP choices for balloting. I FEEL SO EXCITEZZZZ. :D

And SHIT. I JUST REALISE SOMETHING. I need to resubmit! FUCKKKK. I want to specialize and it just occurred to me that my 2nd and 4th choices are not under the biomolecular basket. AIYA WHY SO SIAN. -_- And I really liked my 2nd and 4th choices too!!!!

Unless I don’t specialise… which works too. But… :( WHY ISN’T CRYSTALLISATION UNDER  THE BIOMOLECULAR CATEGORY?!?!? Hello, how many pharmaceutical companies crystalise their drugs la. -_- Sheesh. I am annoyed. I am VERY annoyed.

Ohhh what do I do? :( Oh dear. :(

ARGH

I always wondered if SNSD had like a “Leg Positioning” Coach. One that taught them how to pose with their legs in various positions so as to make their legs look frickin awesome. Cos look at them, other than Tiffany, they all have their legs crossed in some way or another. Heck, Seohyun and Hyoyeon have the exact leg pose. But damn do their legs look awesome or what?

SNSD

It just occurred to me that tomorrow is results day D:

I’m not quite looking forward to it and I don’t know why. I mean, both my final papers went quite okay… But it’s always hard to say. :(

Completely unrelated but I’m on the train on the way to meet The Boy and there’s this girl with the nicest pair of legs I have seen on anyone for a long long time. I seriously took a double take because hot much? :D

If you know me, you’d know that I absolutely adore watermelon. (It’s one of those things I introduce myself with sometimes. Like, “Hi, my name is Vanessa, you can call me Nessa. An interesting thing about me is that I. LOVE. WATERMELON.”) Sometimes I like a bit of salt sprinkled on top of it (try it, it’s actually really good.) but recently I’ve stopped doing that cos it kinda negates the health benefits of watermelon. I like anything watermelon, like watermelon flavoured stuff and even watermelon prints but the best way to eat watermelon is to cut (or break. :D) a cold watermelon in half and scoop up the awesome red flesh with a spoon and eat it right there and then. SO. GOOD.
And I absolutely love love love how because it’s summer all year in Singapore, I can get watermelon whenever I want, all year. :D
I LOVE WATERMELON! :D
